Obtain Your One Card

One Card Services is integral in providing services that support and enhance the campus experience using the latest campus card technology while ensuring a high level of security. To obtain a University of Richmond identification card, you must be classified as one of the following:

  • Full-time undergraduate student
  • Graduate student
  • Part-time degree or for credit, certificate-seeking SPCS student
  • Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Trustee
  • Dependents:
    • Spouse or dependents between 12 and 26 years of age do not need a physical ID card unless utilizing University libraries.
    • Full-time faculty and staff and their dependents are eligible for free membership to Weinstein Recreation Center. Please visit WRC Member Services for eligibility information. For access requirements to WRC, please visit Facilities Access.

New faculty, staff, and students who meet one or more of the above qualifications can submit their photo online or have their photo taken at the One Card Office during business hours or at new student orientation. To submit your photo online, you must log in with your University NetID and Password. You will obtain your NetID when you set up your email.

To obtain your One Card, you will need to present one of the following documents:

  • Valid state-issued drivers license
  • Passport
  • Military identification
  • Official state identification card

GIVEN NAMES VS. PREFERRED NAMES

Both given and preferred names are downloaded to the campus card system from Banner or Workday. Your preferred name will be printed on the ID card if one is present in the campus card system at the time your card is printed. For name changes, please notify the Registrar or Human Resources. Once your name has been updated, you may stop by One Card for a new UR ID card at no charge.
