SpiderCard Account

SpiderCard is a debit card program that uses pre-deposited funds to pay for purchases on campus. Your participation is voluntary. A SpiderCard account is safe and convenient, eliminates the need to carry cash on campus, and is easy to use.

As you make SpiderCard account purchases, your account is debited. Your limit is based on the amount you have pre-deposited. There are no minimum deposit requirements. Deposits may be made at any time at the Student Accounts Office in Queally Hall. To make a purchase, you present your University of Richmond One Card to the cashier where a SpiderCard account is accepted.

Students who opted out of meal plan participation may use SpiderCard account to purchase meals at any of the following dining locations. Please be aware SpiderCard tranactions include tax whereas dining dollar transactions do not, so it's more economical to participate in meal plan.

SpiderCard account may be used at the following locations:

• Heilman Dining Center
• ETC
• The Dean's Den
• Grubhub On Campus - Retail dining locations accept dining dollars or SpiderCard for payment. Students on meal plan should use dining dollars for Grubhub purchases as dining dollar transactions are non-taxable. For Grubhub On Campus purchases using dining dollars, select your dining dollar plan as the payment type in the U. of Richmond Grubhub app. For Grubhub On Campus purchases using SpiderCard, select SpiderCard as the payment type in the U. of Richmond Grubhub app. Your purchase will be deducted from your SpiderCard account balance.

• To purchase additional print credits – When you run out of print credits during the semester, you can purchase more using SpiderCard account funds by visiting the Technology Learning Center in Boatwright Memorial Library, and Law students can purchase print credits by visiting the Law School’s Technology Help Desk located on the second floor of the Law Library.
